Foundation Years

General Information

Faculty of Foundation Year plays an important role in leading and managing the Foundation Year Program. The Program focuses on general knowledge which is divided into four fields, namely, Art and Humanity, Mathematics Science and Informatics, Social Science, and Language, plus two subjects to orient students with the skills they have selected for their degree. Students who successfully fulfill all course requirements and pass all subjects are awarded a Certificate of Foundation Year and promoted to the second year.

Course Structure

Students study a combination of subjects outside their major area, in the Art and Humanity, Mathematics Science and Informatics, Social Science, and Language.

Students also complete the elective stream that is relevant to their degree. The elective stream consists of subjects oriented towards specific areas of study correlating to the degrees offered at SPI.
