Vice-Director of Academic Affairs Message

The Academic Affairs provides leadership for and oversight of programs and services that support student learning and experiences, programmatic initiatives, faculty support, and policies and regulations. Faculty and department administrators are key to the student experience. Academic Affairs supports teaching and learning by providing an orientation program, continuing professional development, and resources for new faculty and departments. The Office of Academic Affairs is responsible for supporting the work of the faculty and department, whose teaching, advising, and scholarship bring the academic program to life. 

As Vice Director for Academic Affairs: The Institute curriculum and new curricular initiatives; faculty hiring and promotion; support for faculty research and teaching; and the administration of all academic departments and programs, the book in the library, and offices within the division of Academic Affairs.  The person in charge of academic affairs is a core participant in the Institute’s strategic development and planning.
