On June 15, 2026, students from the Department of Agronomy of Saint Paul Institute embarked on an educational study visit to Huy Yun Agriculture Co., Ltd., a leading enterprise in agricultural inputs and sustainable soil management solutions. The field trip provided students with a first-hand look into modern industrial production chains, focusing specifically on organic fertilizers, agricultural lime processing, and liquid crop nutrition formulations.

Throughout the visit, students observed the step-by-step methodologies involved in commercial fertilizer manufacturing. Industry specialists guided the cohort through the facility, breaking down the technical nuances of organic waste composting, soil acidity correction via agricultural lime applications, and the precision blending required for liquid crop nutrition products.

Observing these operations enabled students to see how theoretical concepts covered in their coursework such as plant physiology, soil chemistry, and nutrient management are directly operationalized in modern agricultural enterprises. This is the best way to help SPI’s agronomy students to see the reality of implementation related to the agriculture industry in Cambodia. By bridging the gap between classroom theory and industry practice, experiential initiatives like this play a crucial role in the department’s curriculum. Students returned with a deeper understanding of real-world production constraints, quality control standards, and sustainable agronomic practices equipping them with the practical insights and professional exposure necessary to excel in the evolving agricultural sector.
