The Christmas and prayer for Peace program, held under the spiritual guidance and leadership of Bishop Olivier Schmitthaeusler, Apostolic Vicar of Phnom Penh on December 22, 2025, marked a deeply meaningful celebration for our entire community. This sacred gathering brought together staff, faculty, students, and university scholars from both Saint Paul Institute and Saint François Private General and Technical High School, uniting us all as one compassionate family. It was a powerful reminder of the joy, hope, and love that define the Christmas season, anchoring our community in shared faith and mutual respect.

Gathering on this special occasion, our community reflected deeply on the vital significance of peace in our lives and world. Through joyful Christmas carols, quiet meditation, and joint prayers, everyone present shared in a warm spirit of mercy, goodwill, and fellowship. The atmosphere reflected a deep commitment to spiritual harmony and unity, inspiring everyone to carry the light of compassion beyond the walls of our educational institutions.

A profoundly moving highlight of the program was our dedicated moment of prayer for Cambodia’s heroic frontline soldiers and refugees facing severe hardships. We lifted up our collective voices to pray for their peace, safety, unwavering strength, and protection. This focused act of prayer demonstrated our solidarity, care, and continuous support for those enduring difficulties, reminding us that no one stands alone in times of struggle.

Guided by the true spirit of Christmas, the program issued a heartening call to action: to actively contribute to building peace through education and diligence. Students and scholars were encouraged to take up their books and pens with renewed dedication, focusing on their studies and research as a peaceful yet powerful pathway to constructing a prosperous future for Cambodia.
