The Annual Meeting for the Head Department and Dean of Saint Paul Institute (SPI) was held on October 4-5, 2022 in Kampot province, Cambodia.

The annual meeting was prepared for two full days to see the results from the previous academic year and action plans for the coming year. Those are very important tasks for the institute’s development plan, Mr. Phon Sophal said.

The three objectives of the meeting were mentioned by Mr. Phon Sophal during his opening remarks, such as: first, is to review the performance reports of all departments and offices that have been done in the previous year. Second, to discuss preparation for the action plan coming academic, which focuses on 3 main areas St. Paul’s Institute works for the sustainability of St. Paul’s Institute through the following activities: Promotion and Scholarship (Admission/Student enrollment); Curriculum and Academic Support (effectiveness and efficiency); and last but not least, Human Resources and Administrative work. Third, to discuss the main points for strategic planning for the next 5 years (2023-2028).

After reporting and action plan preparation with a draft strategic plan for the next 5 years, H.E Bishop Olivier SCHMITTHAEUSLER expressed his gratitude to all SPI’s leaders and management team who took very high-quality, responsible action to promote the high quality of education to students in SPI for the last academic year. He also thanks all SPI staff for being successful hosts for the 28th ASEACCU conference from August 23-27, 2022. He added that we need to find the right way to promote our brand and a good image of SPI to all Cambodians; we are not just providing scholarships for poor people now, but rather the best quality of education to higher education students through an integral system that is very expensive and of high quality, he said.
